About me
Hello and Welcome!
I specialise in Depth Psychology and Wholing, a new paradigm for human development that enables you to self-heal. Together, we'll explore the source of your unhealthy patterns and coping strategies that you have created, which usually stem from childhood and ripple into later life stages, separating us from our true selves, our wholeness, and our potential. On every step of the way, we will ensure that you are ready and have the tools to deal with whatever we un- and discover.
Our work will lead you to develop your Self, by understanding and cultivating your own awareness, your inner map and compass. Once you have resourced and understood your Self sufficiently, you are able to embrace the wounded and fragmented elements of your psyche, your Ego. This process empowers you to “Self-heal".
My work with you is gentle, empathic, deeply respectful, safe and confidential. I am person centred, going at your pace with whatever you bring! You might find a sense of adventure and excitement in our work, as you begin to see yourself from a new perspective and depth, and feel more self-empowered.
When we separate or fragment from our true Selves, we also loose connection to our Soul, our life's purpose, our very own Nature. Hence, working with and through Nature is a key element in your journey towards healing, where you will inevitably meet the transpersonal/ spiritual elements within yourself that connect you to the Whole. I will therefore, in due course, invite you to take the therapy outdoors, but this is completely up to you; there are many ways of incorporating Nature.
As an integrative counsellor, I might draw from various approaches including: Gestalt, Creative therapies, Mindfulness, Existentialism, Transpersonal Psychology, Jungian Therapy, Holistic Healing, and more.
I too am continuously discovering new aspects of my fragmented Self, psychological wounds that were sustained mainly in childhood, and made life seemingly easier by developing survival strategies which have shaped the person I am, but not freed me, and instead cloaked my natural Self in layers of protection mechanisms.
This keeps us small and depressed. The disintegration of the identity and life story we have created can be daunting, even terrifying and painful, and yet opening into a more alive, wondrous, natural, meaningful and alluring realm of destiny, glimpsing our Soul, our Nature.
I have come to understand that in order to halt the destruction of our planet, to heal and repair the Earth, we need to first halt the destruction of our Selves, and heal and repair the connection to our own Nature.
Your therapy with me can be short term or long term. In person and online. My therapy room is situated within the inspiring Dartington Estate in Devon near Totnes, with many acres of nature to roam. My clients are 18+
