About me

Hello! I’m Victoria, a Cognitive and Behavioural Psychotherapist and Counsellor. Taking that first step towards a healthier ‘you’ can be a formidable experience, however; it’s just as important to look after our mental health as much as we do our physical health.

CBT can help you to become aware of your thought processes in order to view challenging situations more clearly, and adapt the ability to respond to these thoughts in a more effective, healthy way. I can help guide you to deal with any overwhelming thoughts or life changes in a more positive way. I can show you how to change these negative thought patterns to improve the way you feel, this in effect will improve any unwanted behaviours you may have developed.
With the skills I can teach you through CBT, you can learn to cope with whatever life throws at you, which is especially helpful during these uncertain times. We will work together to help you achieve your goals through scientifically proven methods and tailored treatment plans to your needs.

Training, qualifications & experience

I have a background in psychology, where I studied a Bachelors degree with honors and a Masters degree with merit at the University of Stirling.

Following this I studied my COSCA accredited counselling skills Postgraduate Certificate at the University of Edinburgh, I then went on to study a Postgraduate Diploma in CBT Therapy and Groupwork at ACT Counselling Services in Glasgow.

I have Practitioner Accreditation status with the British Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies (BABCP).

I have  previously worked within a specialised team for substance use and alcohol intervention where I gained a wealth of knowledge and experience in the field of recovery.

I currently work as a fully qualified counselling therapist across Glasgow and surrounding areas.
