Surviving trauma and facing life's challenges such as anxiety, depression, and transitions can leave us feeling shattered and lost, but I believe in the resilience of the human spirit. With over 7 years of experience in supporting trauma survivors and individuals navigating various life challenges, I offer a compassionate and trauma-informed approach to counselling.

I am an accredited member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy, and abide by their code of ethics.

I work remotely online/telephone with any individual adult in the UK.

I can also work face to face in rooms in Branksome, Poole, Dorset.

Current availability are Tuesdays and Thursdays.

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Additional information

Counselling sessions last 50 minutes, usually taking place on a weekly basis and cost £60 per session. 

I also provide a limited number of spaces for those on low-income, trainee counsellors or for students; contact me to enquire about availability. 

Initial assessment appointments last around 30 minutes and are free if online/by telephone. 

Note that if you want to cancel a face to face appointment I require 48 hours’ notice (online appointments are 24 hours); otherwise, you will still need to pay for any sessions missed. I accept payment by bank transfer. Payment is in advance to secure the room.
