About me

Life sometimes throws up some unexpected hurdles. We can be knocked out of our stride when we least expect it. Have you received some bad news recently or are you struggling with your health or that of somebody close to you? Do you need to talk it through and explore how you are feeling? Are you having problems with your employer and or your work situation, which can be a real problem especially in these difficult times? Are you struggling with anxiety and struggling to function? Have you suffered the loss of a loved one and don't feel able to talk about this with other friends and family who are going through the same loss?

I can provide the ultimate understanding after my own experiences. Whilst I appreciate we are all different, I know how it feels to face seriously stressful and potentially life ending experiences. I facilitate the space for you to explore how you are feeling and provide the conditions required to help you come to decisions & understanding of your struggles.

After two cancer diagnoses and twice overcoming severe treatments, followed by a drawn out employment tribunal, it has not been easy. I couldn’t have done it without the amazing support I received. I would not be where I am today if it was not for the amazing people who have helped, listened and supported me. I now enjoy doing the same for others.

I would be delighted to help with what brings you to be needing support, please get in touch if you think I can help you.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
