About me
I understand that reaching out for counselling can feel difficult, especially when you are used to holding everything together for others. On the outside, you may look as though you are managing, but inside you might feel overwhelmed, tired, and as though your mind never really switches off, at times, even small things can feel overwhelming. In relationships, you may feel unsure where you stand, sensitive to changes in tone or contact, and worried that you are “too much” or asking for too much.
Many of the women I work with feel caught in patterns of overthinking, people pleasing, and self doubt. They often say they feel like they have lost touch with themselves, are constantly adapting to others, and are tired of carrying responsibility for everyone else’s emotions. Deep down, they want to feel more secure, more confident, and more able to trust themselves. You might find it hard to say no, feel guilty when setting boundaries, or keep things in until they build into anxiety or overwhelm. Even when things feel difficult, you may still find yourself saying “I’m fine”.
I offer a calm, confidential and non-judgemental space where you do not have to hold everything together. A space where you can slow down and talk openly, without pressure or judgement Starting therapy can feel uncertain, especially if it is new to you. You do not need to know what to say or how to begin.
Therapy with me is a supportive, collaborative conversation. I am an active therapist and will help you make sense of your thoughts, feelings, and patterns at a pace that feels right for you. My approach is integrative, meaning I draw from different therapeutic models and tailor our work to you. I also use psychoeducation to help you understand what is happening internally, so things feel clearer and more manageable. To help you strengthen your sense of self, and feeling more secure in your relationships.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
