My name is Sharon, thanks for taking the time to stop by.
It is difficult enough when you are going through a tough time, but having to choose a therapist via a photo and description, is the last thing you need. Therefore I do not want to bombard you with lots of information and add to your confusions, see below for a brief overview of my therapeutic practice.

'I am an open and honest therapist who specialises in CBT - Cognitive Behavioural Therapy. I joined the therapeutic world in 1998 after graduating from University'.

7 years CBT for the NHS

Occupational work - for example - Ambulance/Police
Private Practice -
- working for the Probation Service
- delivering health and well-being/stress management/mindfulness- to work places -such as local council

Currently working via an agency around the UK, 2-3 days per week as a CBT Therapist and working from home - flexible availability to meet your needs.

Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.

The BABCP is the lead organisation for Cognitive Behavioural Therapy in the UK. Membership is open to anyone with an interest in the practice, theory or development of CBT. BABCP also provides accreditation for CBT therapists. BABCP accredited members adhere to the Standards of Conduct, Performance and Ethics in the Practice of Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies, and are willing to be scrutinised in this adherence as required.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
