About me

Life can present many issues that can cause worry, anxiety, depression and stress. These emotional responses can at times lead to difficult feelings of overwhelm, uncertainty, or struggles with sense of identity, or low self-esteem. These issues may have their roots in life-long struggles, or be coming to the surface in response to recent life-events that may arise in strained personal relationships, family issues, work stress, or as a response to a big change, loss or bereavement.

Perhaps you are experiencing any one or a mixture of these, and you are considering therapy because you are seeking to make sense of things, or to find some relief. Additionally, you may want to make changes to be able move towards a better quality of life.

Equally, perhaps you are seeking therapy as a means of self-exploration and self-development. In this respect, therapy can offer a space to engage in an in-depth process of deepening self-awareness, as a means to gain a greater understanding of yourself and your place in the world.

As a UKCP registered integrative psychotherapist, I offer you a space to feel heard, understood, and supported to process and navigate your experiences, whatever they may be.

In my approach to therapy, I offer a compassionate, non-judgemental and confidential space. Together, we can work collaboratively to explore, understand and clarify your past and present experiences, as well as consider and set about moving towards your hopes for the future.

Through therapy we might aim to process difficult historical experiences, make sense of who you feel you are in the world, and perhaps find ways in which you feel you can engage with life that are meaningful, fulfilling and in line with your authentic ways of being.

There are many possible ways to work therapeutically. Taking an integrative approach, I draw upon a range of well considered and rigorously developed psychotherapeutic theories to provide a therapy that is tailored specifically to your personal needs.

Working together online can give you the opportunity and convenience to engage with therapy from the comfort of home, or, for those who need flexibility, any location in which you feel you have privacy, confidentiality and security. This can be a good option for those who travel frequently for work.

If you would like to book a free 15 min zoom consultation, please send me an email. During the consultation we can discuss your hopes for therapy, and see if we might work well together.

Thank you and I look forward to hearing from you,

Sam

UKCP standards cover the range of different psychotherapies. Registration is obtained by training or accrediting with one of its member organisations, or by holding a European Certificate in Psychotherapy. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.

Key details

Wheelchair user access
Wheelchair user access

Wheelchair-accessible premises should have step-free access for wheelchair users and individuals who are unable to climb stairs. If a Counsellor's premises aren't step-free, they may offer alternative services such as telephone/web-based appointments, home visits, or meeting clients in different location, so you can choose the option that suits you best.

You can contact the Counsellor to discuss the options available.

Under the Equality Act 2010 service providers have a duty to make reasonable adjustments to ensure that individuals with disabilities can access their service. You can read more about reasonable adjustments to help you to access services on the CAB website.

I am currently only offering sessions online. When I am able to resume face-to-face work, CCPE has the facilities for wheelchair access.
