About me
I am an integrative counsellor, which means I draw on a variety of approaches and models to best facilitate and support you through your counselling journey.
I am AuDHD (Autistic and ADHD) and understand the potential difficulties of finding a counsellor who has lived-experience of neurodiversity. As well as my lived experience I have undertaken various training in understanding and working with autism and adhd in the counselling space.
I have worked with a variety of people who have brought a wide spectrum of issues into counselling, including depression, anxiety, self-esteem, abuse and neurodivergence. I am very passionate about working with clients that are healing from abuse related trauma and have worked in the context of sexual violence for the past three years.
I work on the belief that you know yourself best, as you have lived in your body and brain for your entire life. I consider my place in our sessions as a facilitator and guide, for those times in which you feel stuck, or need somebody else to offer you some extra support and insight in your journey. My primary focus is creating a safe environment that you can relax into – knowing that your vulnerability will be held and respected with no judgement. I am not afraid of walking through the darkness with you, and I look forward to dancing in the light alongside you too!
