About me

Hello, I'm Russ, a person-centred counsellor dedicated to supporting individuals through life’s challenges.  I specialise in working with depression, men’s issues, LGBTQ+ issues, anxiety, and trauma.  My approach is built on empathy, genuine connection, and unconditional acceptance.

What can you expect from counselling with me?

  • Friendly and Approachable Atmosphere: I strive to create a warm and welcoming environment where you can feel comfortable and at ease. Your well-being is my top priority, and I am here to support you every step of the way.
  • Empathetic Listening: I will listen to you with empathy, giving you my full attention and understanding as you share your experiences. You’ll have a safe space to express your thoughts and feelings without fear of judgement.
  • Unconditional Acceptance: You will be accepted and valued for who you are, without any conditions or criticism. My goal is to help you build self-acceptance and compassion, challenging negative beliefs and fostering a healthier, happier you.
  • Collaborative Exploration: We will work together to explore your inner strengths and resources. I believe in your potential and will empower you to face life’s challenges with confidence.
  • Meaningful Goals: Together, we will set meaningful goals and take small steps towards growth and positive change. Your journey is unique, and I am committed to supporting you in achieving your personal aspirations.
