About me
If you've reading this, you may be feeling anxious, low, overwhelmed, or struggling with change that's left life feeling different. Perhaps you know what the change is or simply know that something doesn't feel right.
Reaching out for Counselling can feel unfamiliar, and it's natural to wonder whether therapy is right for you. You don't need to have everything figured out before we begin.
The relationship we build together is at the heart of therapy. When we feel safe, genuinely listened to and accepted without judgement, it becomes easier to understand ourselves, work through difficult emotions, and gently begin to make changes we want in our lives.
My role isn't to tell you what to do or to have all the answers. Instead, I offer a warm, compassionate and non-judgemental space where you can slow down, feel truly heard, and explore whatever feels important to you. Together, we'll work at a pace that feels right, helping you make sense of your experiences, recognise your strengths, and find a way forward that feels meaningful for you.
I support people experiencing loneliness, anxiety, depression, grief and bereavement, stress, low self-esteem, relationship difficulties, and the impact of life's many changes.
People from all backgrounds, cultures and identities are welcome. Your experiences, values and sense of who you really matter.
I work with you at the centre of focus (Person Centred) and often use other approaches where appropriate, such as Mindfulness and Compassion-Focused Therapy. This means I tailor therapy to you as an individual, rather than following a one-size-fits-all approach. Whatever brings you to Counselling, our work will be shaped around your unique needs, goals and experiences.
Clients often tell me they leave sessions feeling safe, seen and genuinely listened to. My hope is that therapy offers you a place where you don't have to pretend you're coping, where you can be yourself without fear of judgement, and where lasting change can begin.
In a free 20-minute introductory telephone call, we have the opportunity to talk about what's brought you to Counselling, answer any questions you may have, and see whether we feel like the right fit for one another. Finding the right Counsellor is important, and I want you to feel comfortable in making that decision.
Thank you for looking here.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
