About me

Throughout life we all encounter challenging situations and can feel stuck or uncertain about moving forward. I offer short and long-term counselling within a safe, non-judgemental and empathetic environment in which you can confidentially share and explore challenges you are experiencing.

I am passionate about helping people to become the best version of themselves by supporting you to acknowledge and resolve dis-ease in the mind, body and soul. My role is to support you in gaining greater understanding of yourself, so that you may feel more empowered to heal, grow, and move forward in a positive way.

Whilst I specialise in supporting people through grief and loss which may be associated with a bereavement or change of circumstances in life, I also support people experiencing a range of challenges including anxiety, low self-esteem and stress.

I believe in a holistic approach to wellbeing and appreciate that not everyone wants to talk directly about their emotions and factors that are impacting their wellbeing. Therefore, I also offer Therapeutic Tarot sessions (not to be confused with Tarot readings!) and Drawing and Talking which enables you to safely explore and express underlying difficulties in a more creative and less direct manner.

Seeking support and taking time out is often the most difficult decision to make but it can be the most worthwhile. Please do not hesitate to get in touch for more information if you or someone you know needs support.

I am also a qualified Mindfulness Now teacher and am currently completing Level 2 Usui Reiki training.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
