About me

Hello and welcome. I offer a warm, welcoming, confidential counselling service where you can feel free to discuss any issues you are experiencing in your life.

I am a Integrative Humanistic Counsellor and I work in a person-centred way with Adults of all ages, I work with the client to help them find solutions that are right for them. Counselling can help you to understand yourself better, give you resources to deal with life in a different way, build resilience and help you to make choices and decisions that are authentic, empowering you to feel more in control which will ease feelings of anxiety and depression.

Counselling can have a positive impact on the relationship you have with other people,  as well as the one you have with yourself.

I have experience working with anxiety and depression, relationship issues, stress, panic disorder, grief, Menopause and effects of long term illness.

I volunteered with Macmillan Cancer Counselling supporting patients and families. I also have experience working with Autistic Adults and their families.

I work in Private Practice in Hove at 'The Practice Rooms' seeing clients in person. I also offer online (Zoom) sessions. You can have support whilst in a space that is convenient for you, and which is safe and confidential. 

Training, qualifications & experience

I am a qualified Counsellor and trained with Cara Counselling Training - Worthing College. I hold a  PGDip in Humanistic Integrative Counselling qualification. I am a registered member of the BACP -  Member number 402010.

I have experience working for Macmillan Counselling. I have experience working  with Autistic Adults. I also work with clients experiencing feelings of loss, depression, anxiety, panic disorder, relationship problems, ill health, menopause effects and have experience supporting families living with children who have special needs.

I am available Monday - Friday (9-4) ; Saturday (9-12) for in- person face to face appointments at 'The Practice' in Hove and also offer daytime Online appointments via Zoom.

I am available Monday - Thursday evenings for Online (Zoom) appointments only.

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Further information

Sessions are usually weekly and are 50 minutes. I offer short term counselling and Long term open-ended counselling. I work together with a client to help them decide what would be right for them. 

I offer a free initial 50 minute consultation either via zoom or face to face, this gives you a chance to decide if the support is right for you .
