About me

Welcome,

In moments when life feels challenging or when we find ourselves at an impasse, seeking therapy can be a powerful step towards understanding and navigating our emotions. As a male counsellor, I specialise in providing support to those who may be feeling stuck, facing mental health issues, or striving to move forward after a significant event.

People approach therapy for a myriad of reasons. It might be the weight of anxiety or stress, the grip of depression, the ache of loss and grief, challenges in relationships or family dynamics, or difficulties encountered in the workplace. Others seek therapy to grapple with trauma, cope with life-changing illnesses, or break free from persistent habits. Whether the goal is making specific changes for the future or unravelling the complexities of the past, I am here to guide you through the journey.

My approach as an Integrative Counsellor & Psychotherapist draws from various therapeutic perspectives, including Humanistic, Psychodynamic, Cognitive Behavioural, and Neuropsychological frameworks. Recognizing that each individual is unique, with distinct ways of perceiving the world and processing emotions, I tailor my methods to suit your specific needs. I am also deeply interested in mindfulness practices and understanding how we can collaborate with our nervous systems to gain greater control over our emotional responses.

Working collaboratively and flexibly, I provide a safe space for you to explore your thoughts and feelings without judgment. Central to my approach is the unwavering acceptance of individuals as they are, coupled with warmth, kindness, and empathy.

Before transitioning to my role as a Counsellor & Psychotherapist, I accumulated extensive experience within the NHS and the Charity Sector, assisting individuals facing diverse challenges impacting their mental and physical well-being. I have had the privilege of working with people from various walks of life, and I am pleased to offer therapy in English, Czech, and Slovak languages. I welcome individuals from all cultures, racial backgrounds, and identities, including diverse sexual, gender, and relationship orientations.

I invite you to reach out, whether by phone or email, for an initial conversation. Let's discuss the matters you'd like to explore in therapy, allowing both of us to determine if we're a good fit for this important journey together.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
