About me

Hi, my name's Maz and I am a psychotherapist/counsellor who is here to hear you.

Counselling can be a really daunting route to take.  Having to talk to a stranger about feelings,  thoughts and emotions can be so far removed from people's everyday lives that the very thought can turn people off instantly but what if taking time out of your day talking to that stranger perhaps gave you breathing space, gave you time to think, feel, perhaps even revaluate.

People come to me for all different reasons from but not limited to anxiety, feeling sad, low self-esteem, bereavement support, trauma, social anxiety & family issues but what stays consistent with my work is that you receive support when you need it most.

Free Initial Contact

Feel free to call me or send an email and I will contact you at a suitable time for you.  This call will enable you to ask me questions, you can tell me a bit about what's brought you to counselling now and I can explain more about our counselling sessions.  Having this free initial call will allow you to establish whether our new relationship is a good fit and if you would like to proceed with counselling with me.

What your counselling sessions will look like

Firstly you have the option of in person sessions located in Motherwell or online sessions, within your initial session I will continue to work on building your trust with me after our initial phone call, giving you the chance to talk whilst I listen to ensure you feel that we are the right fit for each other.  It is important as you embark on this area of your life that you feel comfortable, safe and secure with me as your counsellor.

Our sessions will not consist of me trying to fix you, I'm here to support you in what you bring to the sessions as there are many different areas throughout life which can cause struggles, pain & confusion, sometimes it comes in the form of a crossroad or stumbling block that you've come across at this time in your life that you wish to visit.

I come to each of the sessions with no agenda, as these sessions are all about you and what you want to bring to the sessions. I am a qualified integrative therapist which means I have a wide range of counselling techniques and tools which I can use to support you.

Reaching out for support is your first step.

Feel free to get in touch either by phone on 07359 069678 or by email for an initial chat to see if I am a good fit for your needs.
