About me
Are you feeling unsettled by a change in your life? Stressed? Feeling stuck and lost?
I'm a Systemic and Family Therapist with 20 years of experience. I offer individual and couples counselling; I also work with families.
Changes come in all forms; you might be entering a different stage in life like becoming a parent, menopause, facing retirement or even separation; you might be dealing with a planned change like migration or with an unplanned situation in your life. We may develop ways of dealing with these challenges that may, inadvertently, cause us anxiety, low mood, low self-esteem, and relationship difficulties. I’m here to help you navigate this and find new ways.
Whilst working together we may look into patterns and narratives that are repetitive, we will think about communication in your relationships. I will help you think about how some of your early experiences might also be contributing to where you are now, but we will mainly focus on the present. We will identify the resources you already have; explore the areas you want to work on in therapy and hopefully develop new ways. I value diversity so I will aim to help you find answers that make sense to your personal beliefs, values, and identity.
I currently offer online therapy only and can offer sessions in both English and Spanish. You are welcome to book a 15-minute initial online video meeting, so we speak and see if the way that I work suits you.
Training, qualifications & experience
I am a registered UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) Systemic and Family Psychotherapist.
I originally became a Licensed Psychologist in Argentina, my country of origin, and then obtained a master’s degree in Systemic and Family therapy at the Tavistock and Portman Foundation Trust in London, UK. In the UK I have worked in the NHS and Local Authorities.
I also hold a Postgraduate Certificate in Parenting and have been involved in research regarding parenting at King’s College. I delivered parenting programmes in the community and one on one parenting support. I have experience in supporting parents of children with neurodiversity as I was a member of an NHS team that carried neurodiversity assessments, diagnosis and post diagnosis parental support.

Member organisations
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.
The UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) is a leading professional body for the education, training and regulation of psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors. Its register is accredited by the government's Professional Standards Authority.
As part of its commitment to protect the public, it works to improve access to psychotherapy, to support and disseminate research, to improve standards and to respond effectively to complaints against its members.
UKCP standards cover the range of different psychotherapies. Registration is obtained by training or accrediting with one of its member organisations, or by holding a European Certificate in Psychotherapy. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
