About me
Hello, my name is Mandy Rumbelow.
I am a person-centred/humanistic counsellor. This means I will provide a safe space where I will listen attentively, where no-judgment enters the room and you can openly voice your fears, worries and thoughts on whatever it is you need to talk through.
We will work together to develop your own strengths and abilities, helping you face the daily challenges of life. Which will enable self-discovery, self-acceptance and positive growth. So you can cope with current and future problems.
I feel the therapeutic relationship that we develop will be at the heart of your therapy sessions. This will become a trusting relationship where you will feel safe to explore your thoughts and feelings, allowing you to have a greater awareness of yourself. Enabling you to explore how your behaviours and actions, may be affecting the issues you want to address.
Working as a qualified nurse for over 30 years has given me a wide range of life experiences. I have listened to patients during traumatic times, built trust and been open and ready to care for anyone who came onto the ward. I have brought this experience with me into my counselling practice.
Your counselling sessions will be held in my cabin which overlooks picturesque fields. The cabin provides a comfortable and completely private space for you to talk openly and feel at ease.
If you have any questions relating to COVID-19 precautions then please get in touch. I have completed the COVID-19 Psychological First Aid Course from Public Health England.

- Diploma in Counselling Skills and Theory (Dip CST)
- Hypnotherapy and Counselling Skills Certificate (Hyp CS)
- Diploma of Higher Education in Nursing (Staff Nurse)
I partake in Continuous Professional Development, to keep up to date and because I enjoy learning, understanding and developing new skills.

In 2013 the NCS register was accredited by the Professional Standards Authority under the Accredited Voluntary Register Scheme. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Not sure if counselling is right for you? Please contact me to arrange a no obligation chat. I offer an initial free 15 minute telephone call. This gives you a chance to ask any questions, and enables you to find out a bit more of what to expect from counselling.
Counselling sessions thereafter will last 60 minutes and cost £40. You are under no obligation to book in more counselling sessions after your initial consultation.
Payment by cash or bank transfer please.
Please give 24hrs notice if cancelling an appointment.
