About me

Has life become a struggle?

First comes the initial drink, then you're not able to take control and say enough is enough.

After a long week at work, you feel stressed and constantly crave a drink BUT after, you just sit there and ask yourself 'why do I do this' - you just don't know the answer?

For years you thought your lifestyle was sustainable but now you realise that it is having an impact on the people around you and you're tired of going round in maddening circles.

Ultimately you fear destroying your relationships and losing the love from your, partner, kids, family and friends.

Deep down you know you cant do this by yourself and you need support to let go of the past and get to the root of the problem.

Counselling gives you the tools to deal with the triggers and cravings to control your behaviour and find a balance.

You'll be able to get on the right path to a happy and healthy life.

I went through the same struggles you’re going through right now...

It all started growing up with a drug-addicted mum who died when I was 10.

Every day I emotionally ran from the trauma ripping out everything that connected my head to my heart, burying any feelings deep in the valley of my soul never to be found again.

Until one day I hit rock bottom when I realised I was a drug addict heading towards death just like my mum.

I made a commitment to become the best version of myself and lead others by example. But walking into my first therapy session I really believed I could die from bringing back up the pain I carried.

I had suppressed so much of my emotions I did not know what I would find and that scared the hell out of me!

I quickly had to develop the courage needed to embrace the uncertainty and anxiety of this journey of self-discovery.

As the days turned into months I would go back to therapy and untangle the mess of my emotions.

I started to understand the impact of mum’s actions on my traumatic development and how my broken inner child was living inside me as an adult.

I gained an understanding of the ripples of addiction throughout my life and how they affected every subconscious decision I made.

As I finally started to heal I decided to become a counsellor and work with people just like you.

But don't just take my word for it...

Here are a few reviews from clients via trustpilot

"I have not had a drink in 4 months"
Luke has been amazing. He was exactly what I was looking for in a therapist, someone that I could talk openly with and on the same level. Sometimes we would work through exercises and other times we would just chat about what was going on. I have not had a drink in 4 months and with a bit of hard work from myself and awesome support from Luke here's to the next 4 and many more after :-) - JOE

"It has been the best thing I could have ever done"
I joint Lisa inside addiction due to binge drinking and not knowing when to stop drinking once I start. I was in a low place when Luke contacted me and I signed up for the alcohol control program and 1 to 1 sessions with Luke. It has been the best thing I could have ever done, I’m now 6 weeks sober and have a complete different outlook on life. Luke has been absolutely amazing! He has gave me many techniques, one of which has taught me how to control intrusive thoughts which I struggled with. Since talking to Luke everyone has seen such a positive effect on me. I cannot recommend him enough, we’ve spoke about a lot of deep stuff but also laughed at past experiences. The program has shown me my triggers and how to deal with them. Highly recommended! - LUKE

"He saved my relationship with my partner and my family"

I don’t know where to start…. Luke is amazing he saved my life he picked me up when I was rock bottom and has got me to where I am today completing the program and unchaining myself from my addiction. The tools I have learnt over the past 12 weeks have made me the person I am now, these tools I have learnt will stick with me through life and help me in day to day life. Luke made me realise that life is amazing, he saved my relationship with my partner and my family, he is so supportive and in every single attribute, his attention to detail in every session is amazing. Luke once again Thank you! - JAMES

"Working with Luke has been genuinely life-changing for me"
Working with Luke has been genuinely life-changing for me. He has provided patient, actionable and supportive counsel during the darkest period of my entire life and within months has enabled me to take real action to make positive, habitual changes. Previous experiences with counselling had been negative, but working with Luke has been fundamentally different and more helpful to me. I believe that Luke's experiences, alongside his qualifications, make him a truly exceptional counsellor and I would recommend his support to anybody who felt they needed it. - ROB

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.
