About me

Do you have problems with your sex life? How's your primary relationship going? Do you think about finding a partner but can't move forward? Are you interested in non-monogamy, open relationships, polyamory?

I practise mainly online (Zoom, email, IM, phone). We can also do walking therapy by the sea, which can be an effective way to work.

I'm open to speaking on the phone for a free, initial consultation of 15-20 minutes to see if we can work together. Please email me to set up a time.

I have over 25 years of experience in therapeutic practice. I am a multi-disciplined therapist using a range of different modalities, specialising in anxiety, stress management, sex and relationships, loneliness, addiction and carers burnout.

I build trustworthy relationships with my clients by creating a safe space to explore deep, core issues. My skills and approach is fundamentally person-centred  and I include mindfulness and somatic awareness when appropriate.

I’ve participated in and facilitated many personal development courses around the world, which have given me a strong belief in people’s potential to transform. I'm eternally fascinated by the human condition and enjoy staying abreast of new developments in psychology and neuroscience.

I believe that good therapy can help a client 1) accept themselves fully and 2) recognise the potential for positive changes and then access ways to implement those changes. I like to discover the right path and approach hand in hand with each individual client.

Training, qualifications & experience

I qualified as a masseuse (dip I.T.E.C.) and a counsellor (dip I.R.C), subsequently combining both therapies into an holistic approach to bodywork. I trained for ten years in Tantra which profoundly informed my practice. For two decades I focused my work on relationships and sexuality. Since retiring that practice I've been offering effective online sessions in which I use my experience and skill gained over many years of working with individuals and couples. I've raised two sons, am a grandmother and have been a live-in carer for the elderly so I have direct experience with all the different ages and stages of life.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
