About me

Sometimes life can seem "too much". Maybe you are feeling stuck and not sure how to move forward? If you are in a place of overwhelm, counselling can help you to talk through your feelings, explore who you are and learn to cope with the struggles that life can bring.

Maybe your child is struggling and would benefit from the support of a counsellor?

I offer a calm and supportive space where I will listen without judgement, something which can be difficult to find when confiding in friends or family.

I work with young people aged 11+ and adults.

I have previously helped with:

  • Young Carer's
  • Exam Stress
  • Anxiety
  • Depression
  • Relationships
  • Self-Image
  • Chronic illness

Talk therapy can feel difficult for some people, so some creative interventions such as games, drawing, mindfulness or grounding techniques can be helpful. Fidget toys are available if they help you or your child to feel more comfortable in sessions.

I understand what a big step it can be for some to reach out for counselling, so I offer a free 20 minute call/zoom to discuss your counselling needs, to answer any questions you may have. The initial call should give you an idea of what it will be like to work with me and to see if you feel I am the right therapist for you. I believe it is important to find a therapist you feel comfortable talking to, where a trusting relationship can be created.

I work face to face from comfortable therapy rooms in Sevenoaks and Bexley. I also offer online counselling for people above the age of 16.

If you have any queries, please contact me.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Wheelchair-accessible premises should have step-free access for wheelchair users and individuals who are unable to climb stairs. If a Counsellor's premises aren't step-free, they may offer alternative services such as telephone/web-based appointments, home visits, or meeting clients in different location, so you can choose the option that suits you best.

You can contact the Counsellor to discuss the options available.
