Are you feeling overwhelmed, stuck, unseen, unheard, or simply tired of carrying it all alone?
Perhaps something’s been sitting heavy inside you waiting to be witnessed, gently and honestly held, without pressure.
I’m Karla, a professionally registered BACP Counsellor, Psychotherapist, and founder of Healing Sun Talks.
With 46 years of life experience and over 25 years in emotional health, workplace therapy, healthcare, and cultural inclusion, I offer compassionate, culturally-aware support that honours your full self ~ your story, your clarity, your struggles, your strength.
I provide a calm, grounded, confidential space where you can come and feel genuinely supported, seen, and safe to be real.
✨ How I Work
I’m an eclectic, person-centred therapist, drawing from existential psychology, creative and reflective practices, attachment theory, and CBT tools (when needed) gently shaped around you.
In a world where true representation is still rare, I offer counselling that honours identity, culture, spirituality, and welcomes the fullness of who you are especially for those who have felt:
- Unseen or emotionally alone
- Chronically anxious, stressed, depressed or internalising too much
- Like they’ve had to wear masks to survive
- High-functioning yet silently struggling
- Self esteem and Confidence issues
- Or simply not fitting into a world that feels like it wasn’t built for them
I am further attuned to people who experience:
- Social anxiety (fear of interaction and judgment)
- Agoraphobia (fear of open or crowded spaces)
- Health anxiety
- Burnout
- Depression
- Loneliness
- Trauma & Childhood Trauma incl Parental abandonment & neglect
- Heartbreak, Domestic Violence, Self Harm, Fearful and Dismissive Avoidant Relationships.
- Emotional suppression or internalised shame
- Abuse and Sexual Assault (including partners/ex)
- I also gently welcome:
- Men or those taught to suppress emotions
- Navigating grief, heartbreak, betrayal or loss incl potential loss (illness and terminal)
- Caregivers, parents, or those carrying invisible emotional labour
- First-time therapy clients
Together, we move at a pace that feels safe and grounded, with space for healing, clarity, and wholeness through presence, trust, and truth.

Member organisations

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
