About me
I am a qualified psychotherapist registered with the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). Utilising my range of clinical experience and training, I integrate a range of theoretical approaches to collaboratively develop a treatment plan with my clients. I draw predominantly on psychodynamic, person-centred and CBT therapy to support my clients facing a range of mental health and life difficulties.

Training, qualifications & experience
I hold a BSc degree in Psychology and a MSc degree in Counselling Psychology. In addition to my Master's level qualification in psychotherapeutic training, I am currently also a Trainee Counselling Psychologist, undertaking a doctoral degree in Counselling Psychology. This means that I am taught and supervised by leading edge Psychologists within the field to provide the highest quality of therapy to my clients.
My clinical experience includes working within the NHS, charity and private settings. Within the NHS, I worked in the community within primary care services supporting individuals with common mental health difficulties such as depression and anxiety. I also worked in a Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service Crisis team, supporting young people experiencing emotional crises. Furthermore, I also have experience working with individuals experiencing substance misuse difficulties. My experience within a charity organisation includes working with individuals facing or experiencing homelessness amongst individuals between 16 to 25.
My clinical experience also includes forensic settings, where I have worked in a high-security female prison with individuals diagnosed with personality difficulties and significant trauma. I currently work on in a private psychiatric hospital, where I am responsible for the psychological input for two wards and supervising other clinicians. Currently, I work on a low-secure female ward and a male acute ward, supporting patients with offending histories and individuals that require emergency psychiatric admission respectively.
Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).
Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.
Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.
All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
