About me
Hello I’m Jody,
An experienced, down to earth, friendly, Integrative Counsellor. I specialise in providing support to adults and young people.
I imagine that life could be feeling overwhelming or difficult right now, either for you or your teenager.
You might be struggling with anxiety, the stress of work, school, college or university, low self-esteem, grief, family/relationship issues, or simply feeling emotional or stuck and unsure of how to move forward.
Counselling with me offers a space to pause, breathe, and be heard. It’s a place where we can begin to gently untangle what’s weighing you down and look at new ways of coping.
How often do you get a full 50 minutes entirely to yourself? A space where your thoughts and feelings are free from judgment or outside noise. I’m here to offer you that dedicated time.
How I can help:
Together, we can work to:
- Manage overwhelming thoughts and emotions
- Build confidence and feel more capable
- Gain clarity and self-understanding
- Work through self-doubt and thoughts of not being “good enough”
- Improve communication and relationships
- Recognise and shift unhelpful patterns
- Strengthen self-awareness
- Develop healthier ways to cope with life’s challenges
I believe therapy should be as individual as you are. That’s why I tailor each session to meet your needs, using a range of therapeutic approaches to support you in the most effective way.
Sessions are available weekly or fortnightly, and I also offer one-off “check-in” sessions if you’re looking for brief support or a space to reflect.
For Parents and Teens
If you’re reaching out on behalf of your teenager, it’s important that they feel involved in the process of choosing a therapist. I encourage you to share my profile with them, watch my video together, and ask how they feel about working with me. Building trust from the start makes a big difference.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
