About me
I am a compassionate, professional, integrative counsellor and supervisor working with adults and young people age 13 and over at The Therapy Rooms in Chippenham. I have more than 12 years experience seeing clients face to face, in schools and online, helping them to explore a wide range of issues in a safe and confidential environment. I offer one to one counselling indoors, online sessions via Zoom, and Walk & Talk Therapy outdoors in the surrounding countryside.
How Counselling Can Help
Whether you are struggling with depression, anxiety, relationships, bereavement, or just feel stuck and unsure of your next step, I can help you to make sense of your problems in a non-judgemental, empathetic and empowering way. My humanistic and integrative training means I combine different therapeutic approaches to suit your needs, putting a trusting relationship at the core whilst bringing in other methods to help you move towards your goals. My Walk & Talk Therapy service in and around Chippenham can offer a different perspective for those who want to integrate nature, movement and the great outdoors into their sessions, and is particularly helpful for those experiencing depression, anxiety and loss.
What Will The First Session Look Like?
In our first session, we will get to know each other at a gentle pace, explore what has brought you to counselling, and work out between us what it is you would like from our work together. We will also discuss session times, confidentiality and explore the differences between indoor and outdoor therapy.
Training, qualifications & experience
I have worked as a counsellor in private practice, in schools and outreach centres for Relate, and as a student at Wiltshire Substance Use Service. I am also a clinical supervisor offering one to one and group supervision to counsellors and other professionals. I am fully insured with an Enhanced DBS Certificate with Child & Adult Barring and I adhere to the BACP Ethical Framework for the Counselling Professions.

Member organisations

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
