About me

Qualified Integrative Counsellor MBACP.

Taking the first step towards counselling can feel overwhelming, but you don't have to face life's challenges alone. I offer a warm, gentle and compassionate space where you can be yourself, knowing that whatever you bring will be met with empathy, understanding and without judgement.

As a qualified integrative counsellor, MBACP, I work with a person-centred foundation, believing that every individual is unique and deserves to feel heard, valued and accepted. I understand that no two people experience life in the same way, which is why I tailor our work together to meet your individual needs, drawing from different therapeutic approaches to support you in the most meaningful way. I believe that every problem is shareable. There is no issue too big or too small or too complex to bring into the counselling room. Whether you are carrying difficult emotions, feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or simply unsure why life feels so difficult right now, we can explore it together in a safe and confidential space. You don't need to have all the answers before you begin.

You don't have to carry everything on your own. If you're ready to take that first step, I would be honoured to walk alongside you on your journey towards healing, self-understanding, and lasting change.

Training, qualifications & experience

I am a member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy. MBACP, I am fully qualified to level 4 in Integrative counselling and psychotherapy practice.

I work with adults facing a wide range of difficulties, including anxiety, trauma, childhood trauma, relationship difficulties, grief and loss, low self-esteem, stress, life transitions, substance misuse, alcohol misuse and addiction. I also recognise that many people come to counselling without a clear label for what they are experiencing. You may simply know that something doesn't feel right, or that life has become harder to navigate. Whatever brings you to therapy, your experience matters.

Alongside my counselling practice, I have previous experience working with individuals affected by substance misuse and addiction. This has given me a deeper understanding of the emotional, psychological, and relational impact these experiences can have, and reinforces my commitment to offering compassionate and non-judgemental support.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Accredited register membership

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
