About me

I am a fully qualified counsellor and I offer a safe and supportive space for you to explore your true feelings and deepen your self-awareness.

I have my own spacious, comfortable and private therapy room free from distractions. There is a toilet available and easy parking. I am located in Ashford, Kent.

I am an integrative counsellor which means I draw on different modalities to best help you. My focus will always be you and by combining different methods it helps to tailor the therapy experience so you get what you need out of therapy.

I offer short or long-term therapy for adults. Sessions are usually weekly, however if you feel you need more or less than this I can offer flexibility here.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Further information

If you are feeling tired of spending your time with negative emotions, we can work together to help you find a way forward, revealing choices that lead to positive change. Counselling can help you to learn individual coping-skills and regain balance getting you closer to the life you want.

Counselling can offer a new perspective on things when everything feels overwhelming. You will find yourself having the space and quiet to slow things down and I will be alongside you supporting you.

I currently split my time between Canterbury and Ashford supporting people with a variety of mental health issues. I believe wholeheartedly that gaining a deeper sense of self-awareness and exploring your personal wants and needs is key to changing your life.
