About me

If you are looking for help with your anxiety, depression and anger issues I can help you with your problems by using my skills as an experienced, integrative therapist, by listening to you, understanding you, and helping you understand yourself.  I can give you useful tips on how to cope with your anxiety, anger, depression and stress; as well as allowing you to say what you need to clear your head and gain clarity and perspective. By being there for you, listening without judging you, and with my gentle questioning I can help you understand why you feel the way you do and help you move past those feelings and find more contentment. I have found this approach to work with many emotional issues and have allowed my clients to move on past their issues quickly and effectively.

I believe in working with my clients to help them understand how they feel, why they feel that way, and to give them coping strategies, coaching tips, and another way of looking at their lives in order to make them feel better.

I have 12+ years’ experience in Counselling individuals, adolescents, and couples. I work with my clients, proving warm and caring counselling, to let them feel accepted  for all types of emotional problems,  particularly with issues of abuse, anxiety, depression, anger & stress management, and self-confidence issues.

If you are looking for a more practical solution, I can also provide coaching tips, giving you the tools to manage anxiety and stress, channelling anger positively, communicating better,  and becoming more confident. I work with couples to let them understand each other, and their issues, better and to communicate in a much healthier way.

I can also be the person with whom it is safe to just talk and be able to unburden yourself of your problems, with the aim of using an understanding ear to help you cope with your feelings.

Registered / Accredited

Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
