About me

In person availability : 11am Thursday in Homerton, E9

Online availability: 4.45pm Tuesday (fortnightly) and 3.30 pm Wednesday (weekly) on Zoom

I am an experienced therapist based in East London and online.

I imagine you find yourself on this page with something troubling you, some feeling that life is not quite as you wish it to be, something that feels hard to handle or heavy to bear alone and some wish for someone to walk alongside you in the face of this thing.

I trained in counselling because I have some sense of how this feels

I believe everyone deserves to feel truly alive. Feeling truly alive is what I aspire to in my own life. That means feeling all of life’s highs and lows, however intense, at the same time as being able to recognise that my capacity to feel is part of being alive, to have compassion for my humanness and to nurture any feelings of numbness, apathy, disconnection and flat, vague, non-aliveness back to life.

I have an affinity for grief and whether you are bereaved recently or a long time ago, experiencing complex or disenfranchised or anticipatory grief, grieving a former self, a job, a home or homeland, an identity or another major life shift or the grief for something you never got to have then there is space here to open that box and begin to look carefully together at the things packed away inside.

I work in an integrative and relational way, from the perspective that the most helpful element of therapy is the relationship between us, so I am open to exploring feedback, patterns, the concept of “safety” and "trust" and the experience of being seen and heard. I believe you are the person who knows best what is true for you and, although my training and life experience may help me to relate and make suggestions as to what may be happening, I aim to open dialogue about how you make sense of your experiences.

I have an informed and affirming Neurodivergence-aware practice, my experience is biased towards autism and I have additional training with ADHD and would seek additional training if necessary to make sure I am always practicing Neuro-affirmatively with ND clients.

I will always work affirmatively with LGBTQIA+ clients, in the belief that you know who you are.

I trained in a integrative and transpersonal model and work with clients of all spiritual orientations and none, transpersonal means I welcome any and all sense you may have of guidance, purpose, potential, creativity and meaning making.

It can be overwhelming to judge who is the right person to talk to and I welcome you to contact me with questions and I will endeavour to respond promptly and openly.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Accredited register membership

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
