About me

I help people work through challenges they are facing, while building self-awareness, confidence and enhancing overall well-being.

Whether you are dealing with a specific issue, or you are seeking a space to reflect on many areas, I am here to guide you through this.

My approach:

My approach to counselling is a combination of 3 approaches:

  1. Person-Centred Therapy: A client led talking therapy where we explore topics at your own pace.
  2.  Cognitive Behavioural Therapy: A structured approach which may  involve goal-setting and exercises both in and out of sessions
  3. Gestalt Therapy: This involves more creative techniques such as learning mindfulness practices to ground the body and mind as well as creative exercises through drawing to help look at things from a different perspective.

This integrated technique allows me to tailor my approach to fit your needs, prioritising your experience over a one size fits all method.

Free Resources:

Understanding what's going on "inside" can be an excellent step towards self growth. To support my clients, I provide free resources designed to educate, learn valuable strategies, and take positive steps towards a calmer and more fulfilling life.

Free Consultation:

I understand that taking the first step towards counselling can be a big decision. To help you get started, I offer a free 20-minute consultation. During this session, we can discuss your goals and expectations for counselling as well as tailoring an approach best suited to you.

If you're ready to take the first step, please don't hesitate to reach out. I look forward to the opportunity to support you.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
