About me

I'm a qualified counsellor and I work with adults and young people who are experiencing anxiety, depression, low confidence, relationship difficulties, and other experiences that mean they aren't currently living the life they want to.

I offer a confidential, judgement-free space where we can explore your situation, together through an integrative approach, combining Person-Centred and Psychodynamic theories.

I work in short, mid or long-term formats which we can agree on to meet your needs.

Training, qualifications & experience

  • Registered member of the BACP (British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy).
  • 4 year Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling (CPCAB).
  • Qualified in Mental Health First Aid from MHFA England.
  • 3+ years' experience as a therapeutic counsellor at Number 22 agency.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Additional information

I believe that each person's needs are different, so I don't offer pre-set therapy programmes (e.g. short-term or long-term). Instead, I work with you to understand where you're at, what you're struggling with and what you'd like to change, and we use that as a basis to inform the shape, frequency and length of our therapy, always with your involvement and influence.

I offer a free 15 minute phone consultation to determine if we'd be able to work together.

Full sessions are charged at £45 for a 50 minute session (via phone or Zoom).

Further information

As someone who enjoyed (and occasionally endured) many hours of therapy as a client, I have experienced the positive impact it can have and that fuels my practice today.

I see counselling as a process that supports, facilitates and empowers self awareness as a path to personal well-being.

My passion and priority in our work is to help you find positive change, in whatever form that takes for you. I work in a way that is tailored specifically to you so it's important that you feel completely safe and supported in our sessions.
