About me
Hello, I’m Frankie. I’m a qualified Psychotherapeutic Counsellor with experience working with adults experiencing a broad range of emotional and psychological difficulties. I have particular experience working with anxiety, ADHD and neurodiversity, and difficulties with self-confidence and self-esteem, alongside relationship difficulties, trauma, OCD, perfectionism, people-pleasing, loneliness, grief, burnout and significant life changes.
You don’t need to fit neatly into any of these categories to come to therapy. You may not have a diagnosis or even a name for what you’re experiencing. Sometimes, people simply know that something doesn’t feel right, life has become difficult, or they don’t want to keep feeling or living in the same way.
My aim is not to tell you how you should think, feel or behave, but to help you understand yourself more deeply, develop greater self-confidence and trust in yourself, and create change that feels meaningful and sustainable for you.
Alongside my professional training, I’ve also experienced being in the client’s chair myself. The profound change I experienced through my own therapy is what led me to become a counsellor. Whilst your experiences will be uniquely yours, I understand the courage it can take to trust somebody with parts of yourself you may not usually show.
For me, the therapeutic relationship is at the heart of change. I believe people grow when they feel safe enough to be honest, curious enough to understand themselves differently and supported enough to begin doing something different.
My approach is relational and tailored to you, rather than applying the same method to everybody. Transactional Analysis is my primary modality, integrated with person-centred therapy, psychodynamic thinking, attachment theory, developmental psychology, trauma-informed practice and contemporary neuroscience.
Together, we can explore the patterns shaping your thoughts, emotions, relationships and sense of self. We can become curious about where these patterns developed, what purpose they may once have served and why they might now be causing difficulties or keeping you stuck.
I’m a fully qualified Adult Psychotherapeutic Counsellor with a BACP-accredited qualification and a Registered Member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (MBACP). My clinical experience includes three years working therapeutically with adults within NHS primary care services. I undertake ongoing clinical supervision and Continuing Professional Development and hold an Enhanced DBS certificate and professional indemnity insurance.
Whatever brings you to therapy, you don’t need to have everything figured out before reaching out. We can begin with what feels important to you.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
