About me
I am an experienced accredited counsellor, working with adults as well as young people and children. I trained as a nurse over 30 years ago and have extensive experience and working knowledge of families, working systemically, working with children who have been affected by parental substance misuse, neglect and attachment issues as well as trauma. I have worked in social work, charitable organisations, health and education and draw on all my working career experience to give added value to the presenting issues in the counselling room. I am an integrative therapist with experience in schools and running my own practice. My approach is integrative, using both person centred and Psychodynamic. I have a special interest in working creatively and have this available throughout my client work. Attachment work is also an area I am passionate about. I believe in clients having all the resources within them to bring about their own changes through their processing and understanding of their situation, behaviours, thoughts and feelings.
