About me

I’m here to offer you a safe and supportive place for you to share as much as you feel comfortable and without judgment.

There are lots of reasons people seek counselling and all of them are valid.

Life can come with a whole host of challenges - feeling out of control, stuck in unhealthy cycles (thought patterns, behaviours, relationships), low self-confidence, anxiety, stress, depression, comparing, feeling irritable, overwhelmed.

We can explore what you’re experiencing and how it’s affecting you together, while developing new ways to help you manage effectively so that you can feel empowered and capable

As an integrative counsellor with the Person-Centred Approach at the heart of how I work, I believe that you know you better than anyone. The integrative part of this means that I use other theories to best support you. After all, counselling isn't a one size fits all...

I offer a free 30 minute Zoom call so you can get a feel for how it might be to work online with me - and of course, if it doesn't feel right, that's okay. It's important you find the right counsellor for you...

With exploring, discovering and understanding, I believe you can heal, grow and thrive…

Training, qualifications & experience

I'm a qualified psychotherapeutic counsellor and am registered with the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy.

I hold a Higher Diploma in Psychotherapeutic Counselling and I have completed further training in Transactional Analysis (TA101).

I'm really passionate about counselling and all the benefits it can bring and so, I continue to learn regularly.  Sometimes, it's theory-based learning, sometimes it's creative techniques, considerations for particular presenting issues etc - but as I mentioned, I'm passionate about counselling so can often be found reading up in free time...

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
