About me

A safe space to explore, reflect and grow

Life can be overwhelming sometimes. You might feel stuck in patterns, be struggling with anxiety, low self-confidence, stress or relationship challenges. Perhaps you find yourself comparing your life to others, feeling irritable, or just not like yourself.

Whatever has brought you here, your feelings are valid and you don't have to navigate them alone.

I offer a warm, non-judgmental space where you can share as much or as little as you feel comfortable. Together, we'll explore your experiences, emotions, and any challenges you're facing, helping you gain clarity and develop tools to move forward in a way that feels right for you.

How I Work

I'm an integrative counsellor which means I tailor my approach to you as an individual - there's no one size fits all in therapy! At the core of my work is the Person-Centred Approach, which trusts that you are the expert on your own life. I bring in elements of other therapeutic approaches including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Transactional Analysis (TA) and Attachment Theory depending on what best supports you.

Above all, I believe that with the right support, you can heal, grow and thrive

What to Expect

Starting therapy can feel like a big step so I offer a free 30 minute Zoom consultation where you can get a feel for how it might feel to work together. If it doesn't feel like the right fit, that's completely okay - finding a counsellor you connect with is important.

If you're ready to take the next step, or if you have any questions, feel free to reach out. I look forward to hearing from you.

Training, qualifications & experience

I'm a qualified psychotherapeutic counsellor and am an accredited member of British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy. (MBACP Accred).

I hold a Higher Diploma in Psychotherapeutic Counselling and I have completed further training in Transactional Analysis (TA101).

I'm really passionate about counselling and all the benefits it can bring and so, I continue to learn regularly.  Sometimes, it's theory-based learning, sometimes it's creative techniques, considerations for particular presenting issues etc - but as I mentioned, I'm passionate about counselling so can often be found reading up in free time...

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Accredited register membership

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
