About me

Welcome and thank you for taking the time to read my page. I am a qualified integrative psychotherapist providing a non-judgmental, safe, and supportive environment working collaboratively with my clients. My method of working is psychodynamic, and person-centred therapy meaning I blend the theory that the client knows best and looking back at your childhood and seeing if anything connects to how you are feeling and reacting today.

I have been told I am warm, down-to-earth, compassionate with a sense of humour. I find it’s crucial to provide a relaxed atmosphere whilst remaining professional and fully dedicated to our work together.

I am a fully qualified member of the BACP,  working with adults experiencing many different mental health difficulties from childhood traumas, pornography addiction, anxiety, stress, depression and much more.

What I offer:

I offer a free no obligation 15-minute initial consultation via telephone. This provides an opportunity to have an informal chat to see what has brought you to therapy, how we might work together, if I am a suitable fit for you and, if not, what alternative services might be better tailored to your needs.

Sessions can be face-to-face in Bournemouth bh10 area, telephone and online sessions are available – whichever best fits your need. I also offer both short-term and long-term work, depending on your goals and what you are wanting from counselling. With the opportunity to work fortnightly

Training, qualifications & experience

  • Advanced Diploma in integrative Counselling
  • BACP Certificate of Proficiency
  • Certificate in Counselling Skills (Level 3&2)

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
