About me

I am a CBT counsellor, working primarily but not limited to anxiety and depression. CBT can help treat the so often overwhelming symptoms that can be emotional, mental, and physical.

My job is to support you with what you bring to the counselling room. Your struggles may not include anxiety or depression. it could be grief, relationship challenges, breakdowns, struggles as a parent or your past hindering your present. I believe it’s important to note that I’m not going to fix your problems for you but give you the space, support, and techniques to fix your own struggles, which is far more powerful. CBT works with thoughts, feelings, and behaviours, exploring each one within you to see if they are hindering your experiences of life and relationships. Together we will work towards YOUR goals.

I do an initial assessment before the first session if you are interested or even curious about counselling and counselling with me. This initial assessment allows you to see if I’m the right fit for you. It also allows me to assess if I’m the best equipped to support you. Please don’t hesitate to get in contact, even if that’s just to ask a question.

I work mainly work in Dunfermline but also have offices in Stirling.

The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.
