About me

Life can bring challenges at any time.  When you're find that you're struggling, it can be difficult to know where to turn.  You may not be sure how to move forward and that can add to the feelings of overwhelm.

Coming to counselling helps you to untangle your thoughts, manage the overwhelm and release or process your feelings and emotions that are causing difficulty in some way.

I work in an integrative approach based on person centred counselling so we work with whatever you bring to the session on that day whether it's picking up where we left off from the last session or talking through whatever has come up for you in that week.  My counselling style is conversational but there is always time for you to speak freely and time for reflection

I also have a variety of tools available to help you.

I support clients seeking support for anxiety, feeling overwhelmed, stress, low mood, bereavement and I have a special interest in supporting women with their reproductive health including fertility problems, pregnancy anxiety, birth trauma, adjusting to parenthood and the menopause.

My book Loving Life in the Middle: How to care for yourself whilst caring for all the family is for busy women who struggle to take time for themselves because their time is increasing taken up with caring for their family, their parents requiring more support and work.  It explores why self-care is not only a good thing to do but essential to keep them going.  I explore why it is so essential, how to make it happen and offer over 100 self-care suggestions to get you started.

If you're unsure about what to do next, I offer an initial phone call of up to 30 minutes to have a chat and explore how I can support you.  You're then welcome to take some time to think about it and just get in touch if you'd like to continue.  I'm always happy to answer questions so that you feel that you've found the right person to support you.
