About me

I understand that this could be an extremely hard decision to make, to talk to a stranger about how you are feeling, but you have found the strength and taken a big step already reaching out. Working together in integrative and non-judgemental way, we can explore whatever brings you to therapy in a safe, confidential way. I believe that building a good rapport, allowing me to work alongside you, will help you gain a deeper awareness of yourself and what brought you to counselling. Discovering the inner strength that you have, will support you in your journey moving forward, for you to have autonomy. I am an integrative counsellor, which allows me to draw from different approaches and theories to help guide and explore what you may bring to a session. This way is personal and tailored to meet your needs. This will help you on your journey through past and present thoughts, feelings and behaviours, if you choose, with your welfare central within our time together.

Our initial first session, (which will be 30 minutes) will be a chance to meet/talk to one another. This time will give you the opportunity to discuss what has brought you to therapy. To discuss any concerns or expectations you may have. Within this time it gives us the chance to see if we are best suited, as this is the most important thing, for both of us to feel comfortable and to start to build a good rapport. This time will allow me to gather a better understanding of how I can support you and whether you feel you would like me to journey on your road, with me as your counsellor. If you feel happy that we can work alongside each other an agreement between us can be made to continue together.
