About me

Working with clients to find the Why? Behind Chronic Pain and to find a pathway to leading a pain free life, Experience working within Healthcare for over 30 years both in the UK and more recently in New Zealand. Registered Psychotherapist (NCS) Transformational Coaching (ICF) Wellbeing Coach (ILM) and Transformational Leadership (Educated to Post Graduate level in Strategic Management, (ILM).

Advanced specialist practitioner with The Chrysalis Effect, SIRPA, Chronic Pain Specialist at Chronic Pain Relief online clinic.

Did you know that one in six adults and 30-40% of primary care patients suffer from medically unexplained symptoms, chronic functional syndromes or psychosocial factors linked to chronic pain? Collectively these are known as Psychophysiological Disorders or PPD.

Health professionals are slowly changing their approach to dealing with chronic pain you may find that your GP will refer you to a pain clinic rather than reaching for the prescription pad. There are studies that show that medication alone does not work in the longer term, increasing dosages doesn’t help the pain, in some cases pain gets worse.

When we work with pain, we need to consider both the mind and body for the best results

In Dr Sarno’s Book ‘The Body Mind Prescription’ he explains that if we heal the body we heal the pain, it is now known that chronic long term stress from childhood can come out some 30 years later in the body as medical conditions such as chronic pain, chronic fatigue, fibromyalgia, Migraine, IBS, and Medically Unexplained Symptoms (MUS) and so much more,It can only take one extra thing to tip the balance from being able to cope or not.
