About me

I am a Person Centred Counsellor, registered with the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). I work with adults and young people from 15+ and provide a humanistic counselling approach where I adapt the way I work to meet the needs of the individual. In my experience, working in this way allows you to reach a better understanding of yourself and the issues you may be faced with. It can also help to boost your confidence, allowing you to have more trust in your own instincts and decision making.

I can help you by providing a safe and confidential environment to speak your worries and fears out loud. I can support you as you experience emotions you may have been holding in or keeping to yourself, all while lending you my strength as together we help you get to where you want to be physically and or emotionally.

Looking for help and support is a courageous step, please contact me for a free telephone consultation so that we can discuss the possibility of working together. My only goal is to ensure my clients have a safe space to discuss their feelings and issues without feeling judged, and that you leave our sessions feeling accepted and heard.

Training, qualifications & experience

I graduated with a Degree in Person-Centred Counselling in 2020 and have been working with clients since my training began in 2018. In 2023 I completed a Level 2 Understanding Autism Course, and in 2024 have completed a level 2 certificate in working with Youths.

I have experience with working with clients with a wide range of issues including PTSD, trauma, anxiety, loss and bereavement, bullying, depression, abuse, separation, suicide and lack of confidence.

I am a registered member of the BACP (British Association for Counselling and psychotherapy) and adheres to their Ethical Framework for good practice in Psychotherapy and Counselling Professions. I am committed to continuing my Professional Development by keeping informed of changes in legislation and partaking in further training.

I am a recommended therapist by Inspire UK the charity and work with them to increase people's access to therapy. I am a Director of my local Youth Club where I use my counselling skills to promote good mental health in our young people aged 11-19.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
