About me
Hi, I’m Ashleigh.
I’m a therapist at Minds Matter Therapy, and I work with adults who are often dealing with anxiety, relationship struggles, burnout, and questions around neurodivergence.
If you’ve found your way here, there’s probably something in your life that feels a bit stuck or overwhelming. Maybe your mind won’t switch off. Maybe relationships feel confusing or draining. Or maybe you’ve always felt a bit different and are only just starting to understand what that might mean.
Either way, you don’t have to figure it all out on your own.
A bit about me and how I work
I’m quite down-to-earth in how I work. I don’t really believe therapy should feel intimidating or overly clinical. Most of the time, it’s just a conversation but one where we slowly start to notice patterns, make sense of things, and understand what’s actually going on underneath everything you’re dealing with.
I work integratively, which just means I don’t stick to one rigid way of doing therapy. Instead, I adapt depending on what you need. A lot of my work focuses on anxiety, relationships, attachment patterns, self-esteem, and neurodivergence.
The space we work in
I think the environment you’re in really matters when you’re doing this kind of work.
I work from a bright, quiet therapy room located in my garden. It’s a calm, private space with natural light and a more relaxed feel, designed to help you slow down and feel at ease while we talk.
For online clients, I aim to bring that same sense of steadiness and presence into our sessions.
Who I work with
Most of the people I work with are adults aged around 20–40 who often describe themselves as:
- overthinking everything
- struggling with anxiety that doesn’t really switch off
- stuck in repeating relationship patterns
- feeling insecure or unsure in relationships
- burnt out from trying to cope or hold it all together
- finding boundaries difficult
- wondering if they might be neurodivergent (ADHD/autism traits or diagnosis)
- feeling “too much,” “not enough,” or just a bit lost in themselves
You don’t need to have a clear label or explanation before coming to therapy. You just need to feel like something isn’t quite working for you anymore.
What sessions are like
Sessions are relaxed and conversational. There’s no pressure to say things “the right way” or have everything figured out.
We usually start with what’s going on in your life right now, and over time we start to notice patterns especially the ones that keep showing up in relationships, thoughts, and emotional responses.
My role isn’t to tell you what to do. It’s more about helping you understand yourself better so things start to feel less confusing and more manageable.
Why people come to see me
People often reach out when they feel like:
- they’ve been stuck in the same patterns for a while
- anxiety is taking up too much mental space
- relationships feel uncertain or draining
- they’re tired of overthinking everything
- they want to understand themselves more deeply
- they’re ready for things to actually feel different
Getting started
I also offer a free initial call so we can briefly talk about what’s going on and see if working together feels like a good fit. It’s informal no pressure, just a chance to connect and ask questions.
Most people don’t come to therapy because something is “wrong” with them. They come because they’re tired of carrying things on their own or repeating patterns they don’t fully understand.
If that’s where you are, therapy can be a space to slow things down, make sense of things properly, and start to feel a bit more like yourself again.
