About me

Hi, I'm Alison. I am a trauma informed Psychotherapist specialising in anxiety, self-esteem, and trauma.

  • Do you often put yourself down and find it hard to show yourself compassion?
  • Do you not feel good enough?
  • Do you experience anxious and overwhelming feelings, or think the worst is going to happen?
  • Have you experienced a significant loss, difficulty, or trauma and you are finding it hard to move on from this
  • Do you feel unheard, unloved, guilty, or ashamed?
  • Was your upbringing difficult or traumatic?
  • Were your feelings and emotions ignored or dismissed as a child, whilst other aspects seemed to be positive?

Who I work with
I work with adults providing a blend of coaching, counselling, and psychotherapy depending on your aims and goals.
I work with trauma survivors using a blend of Psychotherapy and a process called the Rewind Technique

How can I help you?
I can help you develop a better understanding of yourself and your experience so that you can feel more connected, comfortable, and confident within yourself.
I can help you process and move on from difficult experiences and trauma so that you live a more fulfilling life.

It takes courage to ask for support and I will do all I can to make your experience comfortable and beneficial.

You are in the right place if you would like to:

  • have a safe and accepting place to share your story
  • have more clarity
  • feel more confident
  • be more comfortable in your relationships

My promise to you:-

  • I will accept you and your experiences unconditionally and without judgement.
  • I will be genuine, honest and transparent in the hope that you feel comfortable sharing your experience.
  • I will listen deeply to you, so you know that I hear your experience.

Most of us experience psychological distress as some point in our lives, and I can help.

Member organisations

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy

BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.

Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.

All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
