About me
I am a psychotherapeutic counsellor, passionate about offering mental health support to couples and individuals.
I run a private practice where I offer relationship therapy (including couples counselling) as a way of addressing conflict in any relationship, romantic or professional, as well as individual counselling to encourage positive change. I believe in relational-focused therapy, where establishing a collaborative, positive working relationship is the key to successful client outcome.
Relationship and Couples Therapy
Every relationship has challenges and dealing with them with a better understanding of each other is the key to resolving conflict and improving the relationship as a whole. I facilitate those in personal or professional relationships, whether they want to improve or face the end of their relationships. I also work with people wishing to understand repeat patterns in relationships.
I offer a safe, confidential and non-judgmental space for individuals to process their thoughts, deal with life’s challenges and express their emotions, with the goal of positive change.
Training, qualifications & experience
Training
I trained at Metanoia Institute London as a Transactional Analysis, Psychotherapeutic Counsellor.
I also have a Certificate in Integrative, Trans-Theoretical, Attachment-Informed Relationship Counselling, from Mark Widdowson at the Manchester Psychotherapy Foundation.
Association Membership
I am a Member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (MBACP).
Background
Having worked in the creative sector, I understand the industry pitfalls, the unique highs and lows, that working in these uncertain ‘gig economies’ can create. From financial stress, trauma, psychological exhaustion, insecure working environments, communication problems, dealing with nepotism and narcissistic personality types, bullying, substance abuse, relationship difficulties, anxiety, depression, panic attacks, loss, grief, workaholism, imposter syndrome, self-esteem issues… you are not alone!
Specialisms
I am experienced in working both long and short-term, with couples and individuals. I also have experience working in the charity sector in fertility, miscarriage and bereavement at Citypregnancy.org.uk, male suicide at HiSCharity.org.uk and have also trained with starttheconversation.uk.
Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Why Counselling?
For as long as I can remember I have always been interested in human nature, in the workings of the mind and how it impacts human behaviour.
I am fascinated by people and believe that leading a full life is determined, not just by our physical health, but by our ability to connect to our emotional, psychological and spiritual wellbeing too. I have combined my experience of working in the Film & TV industry, across a wide range of diverse media productions, with my work as a qualified psychotherapeutic counsellor to offer mental health support in the creative industries, as well as private counselling for anyone who needs it.
We work to process difficult or painful thoughts and feelings and focus on your untapped potential, to identify and draw on your inner resources to live a fuller, more satisfying life.
How does it work?
The goals of our work are decided upon in a collaborative manner during our initial session and we work specifically with challenges associated with you reaching those goals.
Where and when?
Sessions are usually once a week for 50 minutes for individuals and 75 minutes for couples or groups. I offer sessions face to face at our central London practice, conveniently situated in Kings Cross or Online via Zoom. Please get in contact to schedule a time.
Intro call?
For individuals I offer an initial free 15-minute phone call to discuss the issues and decide whether we would like to work together. We work at your pace, as dictated by your needs. I encourage a collaborative process.
For couples it works better to have you both present at the same time, so unless specifically requested I do not recommend initial calls with you both separately and am happy to do a joint call or simply liaise by email until we can all meet together.
Association Membership
I belong to the BACP, EATA and IARTA and am bound by their ethical codes of practice.
