I am an experienced, qualified and BACP Accredited Counsellor currently working with adults and young people. I offer a safe, non-judgemental and confidential counselling relationship where your feelings, thoughts and emotions are at the centre of our work together.
I am qualified to Degree level in Person Centred Counselling, which means that I concentrate on you as an individual and your needs, however I draw on my knowledge of other therapeutic approaches to best suit the needs of my clients. Most importantly, I hope my down to earth, yet professional approach will enable you to relax and put you at ease, which is particularly helpful when disclosing difficult life experiences.
I have worked as a counsellor for 11 years in a variety of places including women's centres and refuges, primary and secondary schools, NHS centres, BUPA, Insurance companies, Local Government Employment Assistance Programmes and GP surgeries. I have dealt with a wide range of issues such as anxiety, self harm, depression, sexuality self esteem, bereavement, relationship and family Issues, rape, trauma, emotional /sexual abuse, pet bereavement etc. My experience also covers group work and training on a wide range of these topics.
