Profile

Hello, my name is Sandy - Are you thinking about having counselling?  The decision to have counselling is the first brave step and choosing the right  counsellor is the second.  Both can be very daunting and whether counselling is helpful to you or not can depend upon the counsellor you choose.  To help you in your search I offer an initial assessment appointment to give you the opportunity to see if counselling is for you, to ask questions and to decide whether you would feel comfortable with me as your counsellor.

Counselling is a journey that two people make - the counsellor and the client - and it is time for you,  time to explore your thoughts and feelings, memories and emotions in a safe, supported and confidential environment.

If you would like to know more about me and how I work please visit my website or contact me via email or telephone.

Whether you have had counselling before or this is a new experience for you, if you feel that you need to talk please contact me and make that first appointment and maybe we can start your journey together.

Training, Qualifications & Experience

As well as being a qualified counsellor with an Advanced Diploma in Counselling, I am also qualified in Critical Incident Debriefing, Emotional Freedom Techniques, Reiki and as a Crisis Worker for Victims of serious sexual assault.

I have an enhanced CRB check.

I have gained alot of valuable experience from my role as a counsellor - a role that I am passionate about.  I have worked for the NHS, Lincolnshire Fire & Rescue, Lincolnshire Counselling, Sexual Assault Referral Centre, Listening Ears Bereavement Counselling and private practice.

Further Information

No two people are the same and counselling is as unique as you are and our sessions will be tailored to suit you and your individual needs working in ways that are comfortable for you.  The relationship between counsellor and client is different from any other type of relationship where two people share a journey which can be powerful and empowering.   I do not have all the answers and there certainly is no magic wand but I am professionally trained to listen and support you in a safe, non judgemental confidential manner.
