Attending counselling for the first time can be a daunting prospect, you may fear that you may be seen as weak or unable to cope or may just not know what to expect Here at Little Bird Talking Therapy we hope to allay these fears and provide you with a safe environment where you will be valued and accepted without fear of being judged.
Counselling provides you with the space to reflect on your situation with someone who is not personally involved and who does not judge or criticise; giving you the opportunity to explore your thoughts and feelings and in doing so find solutions that you are comfortable with.
I am a fully qualified and insured Counsellor having worked extensively with various charities throughout South Wales. I offer my services in a safe and confidential home from home environment giving you the opportunity to seek answers to your problems without fear of being judged.
I am a member of the BACP Registration No. 088994 and am fully DBS checked. As well as my own private practice I am a Counsellor at the University of South Wales, Time for Talking (EAP) and 2 Wish Upon a Star (Specialist Bereavement Charity). I also provide group counselling sessions for organisations and educational institutions and run monthly support groups.
I have experience of working with clients with a number of isses including depression, anxiety, relationship problems, trauma, addictions, workplace stress, bereavement, abuse and many others.
I am able to provide face to face, online and telephone counselling on a short or long term basis with each session being tailored to meet your individual needs.
Please note that I do not work with couples, which is a specialised area of counselling, for which your chosen therapist should be specifically trained and supervised. Do ask your couples therapist for examples of their training and experience in that field.
