About me

My style of working is warm and friendly and of course confidential. I have  worked within  the NHS for many years, and in private practice, I have vast experience of working with young people in many settings including  managing Young People’s Counselling  Services

I am an experienced and accredited integrative counsellor, which means I am able to tailor my skills and knowledge to you and your needs. My background is Psychodynamic Counselling and Cognitive Behaviour Therapy.  CBT works well as it challenges the way we think, feel and behave

At various times in our lives we all have unhappy periods. Counselling can help with issues such as: bereavement, stress, depression, relationships, work- related stress, anxiety and many other issues which lead to confused and overwhelming feelings. Sometimes it helps to talk to someone outside the situation.

I look forward to working alongside you to explore your concerns, and hope to help you to see things more clearly, possibility from a different view point.
We can also look at Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Mindfulness and Solution Focused Therapy which can be helpful. The aim being for you to develop the necessary skills and resources, which will put you back in control of your life, your decisions, and your choices.

The first step will be to give me a call or send me an email. During our first session we can look at what is right for you.

We would usually meet once a week at a time convenient for you.
