Janet Busse, MA Hip, UKCP Registered
Welcome. I am a fully qualified psychotherapist and I have been in private practice in Bath since 2009. I am committed to providing psychotherapy in a safe, confidential and non-judgemental environment. My aim is to work creatively and with integrity, creating an atmosphere in which we can explore in safety what is troubling you. I believe that it is important that we go at your pace and make sense of your experiences together.
There are many reasons why people seek help and I see each piece of client work as unique.
I believe it is both quality of the therapeutic relationship and our willingness to enter into a process of inquiry that is important. Curiosity is key.
My aim is to understand your unique experience in its social/relational context and how it impacts on your internal world, whilst always responding with empathy, attentiveness and kindness. Working together to form a new in-depth relationship which is supportive, strengthening, and enlivening, we can begin to understand the events of the past and how they affect you today so that you can make different choices in the future.
My Humanistic and Integrative training enables me to draw from a wide range of theory to encourage the development of my clients. It may be good to know that we will both be actively engaged in shaping the work throughout our time together.

Psychotherapy is about relationship, so it is important that you find the right therapist for you. I therefore offer an initial exploratory session so we can start to get to know each other and to help you decide whether you would like to work with me. You do not need to decide on the spot but can go away and think about it. There is no commitment at this stage.
If you decide to go ahead, we find a day and time that suits us both and a date for us to start and we commit to meet each week.
Just give me a call or drop me an email.
