Welcome to HM Counselling Service.
Are you needing help with anxiety, depression, self-confidence or are experiencing relationship or family difficulties? Is life feeling stressful and unmanageable and you are feeling sad? Or perhaps your life is at a standstill and needs a sense of direction?
At times we all need extra support and help with overcoming the challenges that life may bring. Whatever your reason for counselling, whether its big or small...I am here to help.
My name is Helen-Melissa and I am a qualified, experienced Counsellor and Psychotherapist. I work with both individuals and couples on an open-ended basis or for an agreed time period. I can offer the professional support you need when change feels too difficult to achieve alone.
At its most effective therapy can be a life changing process, enabling people to feel more empowered and fulfilled in their life. Counselling provides a safe, confidential and supportive space in which to address current problems and where unresolved difficulties from the past can be explored and worked through, giving a greater sense of freedom and hope for the future.
As a qualified Counsellor and Psychotherapist I can offer you professional help for all kinds of emotional distress such as Depression, Anxiety, Generalised Anxiety Disorder, OCD, Bipolar Disorder, Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD), Low Self-esteem, Bereavement, Relationship Issues, Family Issues, Abuse, Trauma, Work Related Issues and many more.
I practise a Humanistic approach to Counselling that is caring, respectful and non-judgemental. I work in a collaborative way and together we will explore your feelings and talk through your difficulties. Thus helping you to gain insight and understanding with the aim of overcoming your problems and to develop better ways of coping. I will also draw upon a range of other different therapy models including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) depending on your individual needs. In this way you can hope to gain the most from therapy and achieve real results that stay with you.
