Profile
Each of us have encountered at some time in our lives a crisis or problem, where we have felt depressed and anxious with nowhere to turn. Perhaps the anxiety and stress is caused by the loss of a job or loved one, maybe you have relationship problems or a feeling of confusion and loneliness that you just don't understand. You may have a phobia or obsession and just can't find a way forward. You may have a situation that you find too big to bear or simply lack direction or motivation, this is where Therapy may help.

Further Information
Through therapeutic counselling the aim is to provide a supportive and trusted environment to enable you to explore your issues. You will be supported as you gain positive thinking and a new perspective on your situation. You will not be given advice and most certainly will not be judged in any way.
You will be heard with respect and acceptance as you try to move forward at your own pace during painful and difficult issues. Your principles and decisions and your right to make your own choices will be honoured as you resolve your particular problems and you will be offered support and understanding.
Through self exploration you can learn to recognise patterns and beliefs that influence your moods, thoughts and behaviours. This awareness may help to ensure that you adopt more effective coping strategies for the future.
The sessions are generally one hour per week for a mutually agreed period, however in special circumstances these times can be adapted.
