About me

Choosing the right counsellor may seem daunting, especially when you are feeling overwhelmed by life events.

As a qualified counsellor with over 13 years experience, I provide sensitive confidential counselling, working with and supporting you throughout your therapy, within a safe and relaxed space in which we are able to explore the issues that have brought you to counselling.

Most adults turn to counselling to help them deal with a variety of issues such as; anxiety, depression, stress, bereavement and loss, trauma, anger, relationship difficulties or low self esteem. These may arise from previous life experiences or your current circumstances. Throughout your sessions I work with you to explore the thoughts and behaviours that may concern you and enable you to make connections, changes and choices to overcome the issues you are facing today.

As a parent finding the support and help your child needs can be a disheartening process. I work one to one with children and adolescents in my private practice and within senior and junior schools. The children and young people I see face a wide range of challenging issues including; bullying, general and exam stress, phobias, self injury, anger, trauma, family bereavement and loss, depression, body image and lack of confidence. Working with sensitivity, understanding and in complete confidence I provide  an environment in which they can openly discuss the issues that are troubling them.

Being an Integrative Counsellor, I use a variety of counselling models such as CBT, Psychodynamic and Humanistic, all from a Person centred perspective, to meet the needs of individual my clients, whether it be short-term focused therapy or long-term work. To help you decide whether we can build a positive therapeutic relationship I offer a free initial consultation in which you can share your thoughts, feelings and talk about the difficulties you are experiencing.
